You mentioned your using a DVI to VGA connector - is your LCD set to the right mode? Usually most LCDs give you the option to use your VGA, DVI, or HDMI mode if it has multiple connections. That could possibly be the "problem".

If that doesn't work or you already tried it, try this: Turn off computer completely, unplug power as well.

Unplug any wires to the card and take out the graphics card, reseat it. Make sure it is level with the PCI Express slot, and not inside at an angle. Make sure the 6 or 8 pin power connector is plugged into the graphics card. Then replug everything in and try it out again.

One more thing, why are you using a dvi to vga connector on an LCD? Doesn't the LCD have a DVI connection? If so that would give a much better/crisper picture using a straight DVI to DVI cable.

yea it works when i use the other cards, my friend got the 750w psu on a gud price thats why. is it possible that the vga to dvi adapter can cause the card to see no lcd and not put out signal?

idk why he didnt buy the dvi or hdmi cable for it so i just worked with what he had, is it possible that using the vga to dvi can cause the card not to power up and display on the lcd, i'm starting to think its a pcie 2.0 board vs 2.1 card issue. what do you think?

yes i've tried every thing you've instructed me to do, there seems to be a widerspread problem with this card because allot of person have this problem when i search google.

Ok a few more things you can try and by the way that 2.1 card should work fine even though the slot is 2.0 (it may need a BIOS update though):

Make sure your computer is shut down, unplug the cord from the wall or the PSU. Now take out the CMOS battery (it looks like a watch battery) and should be on the motherboard somewhere. Leave it out for approximately 5 minutes. Plug everything back in and try it out again...if that doesn't work....

If you have an older card you can use, try updating the BIOS of the motherboard first. After that - try putting the video card in again.

i've used vga, i've used vga to dvi adapter, i've used dvi and hdmi connections...i've learnt that the problem is with the board "pcie 2.0" trying to read the card "pcie 2.1" there should be a bios update for this issue but i can't find it.

i've used a compaq monitor with vga cable the monitor is fairly new and is hdmi compatible and also a new led asus 22" lcd monitor with dvi and then hdmi and still no output. the proble is with the board not seeing the card because it is pcie 2.1, i cannot find the bios update to fix this issue.

2.1 slot is should not be a issue ,did u try this card with another 2.0 slot mother board?if not then try and see what happen.... it will be more help full i think, and u know mb cant be Rma now because its working good... and in case of bios u first try this card with another 2.0 mb.... best of luck

and for ur info.. i know many people running 2.1 card in there 2.0 slot easily........ no need to update bios also.............. ok then try with another 2.0 mother board...after result then i will tell u more thing....

yup i've tried 4 2.0 boards and none of them work with it then when i try more mordern board it powers up like a charm.

i didnt say its an every card problem but i've learnt that this card is known for that issue

not gona bother changing the board, it seems as if these 5770 comes in both pcie 2.1 and 2.0 and these cards are known for this issue so i'ma just sell the 1 i have and upgrade to a nicer card and problem solved
