Good evening I have a problem with software 100% with my graphics card.It is a 6990 which is like two 6970 in crossfire.I've installed new drivers but in all games wants to be in fullscreen to activate the crossfire, in some ( crysis 3) wants when it opens to get out of the full screen and get back to activate the crossfire and to some games crossfire not even work (black ops 2, battlefield 3) .What can I do except change the card, something that I'm not going to do because it is a diamond on my system.
"And how do you know when crossfire is enabled dumbass?, simply your card is not strong enough to run the game..."

Answer There's an option in catalyst that when crossfire is enabled a small icon ''crossfire x technology'' apears in the top right in the games . I can't see this icon in some games (battlefield 3, black ops 2) and the temperature in the second gpuin these games I can see that it is the same as the idle temperature when I don;t run any game.It isn't possible to run battlefield 4 on full settings and battlefield 3 framedrops even with reduced-antialliasing and 1440x900 resolution.
Thank you for your attention

well sli and xfire will not work unless the game is set to fullscreen mode and there are alot of games that do not support xfire or sli. You need to look at the games you are having issues with and make sure they even support multi gpu setups. You should be able to turn xfire on and off in the amd software. Are you running the latest drivers? Your gpu is a little on the older side and driver support may not really exist for it anymore. The older a card gets the less driver support you get when new drivers are released.

Hey I have a conclusion. When I install the latest drivers the only games that can run is black ops 3 watch dogs assasins creed syndicate, unity. But when I install the previous drivers all my games work except from the new one's.So now what can I do

As with all SLI your at the mercy of the drivers. I would sell the 6990 and buy a single card.
A single R9 390 will give you the same performance, and much better since their no SLI problems.
