Hello, everyone. I'm going to be purchasing a 7950, but I'm not exactly sure which model to go with.
I've come down to choosing between these two:
GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD Radeon HD 7950 3GB
or
HIS IceQ Boost Clock H795QC3G2M Radeon HD 7950
Both are around the same price range, so that's no problem.
I don't plan on overclocking the cards, so the ICEQ might be a better choice.
That said, I'm not familiar with the HIS brand and I've heard the boost cards have been having some issues.
Also, beyond that, I was wondering if my 520W PSU would be enough to power the 7950.
Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yf8H
I used PC Part Picker to make it easier to share and just chose one of the two cards above.
Regardless of which card I choose, the estimated power is at 404W.
As a general rule, I usually take calculator results like that and add 100 on just to be safe.
That said, I know the 7950 is pretty heavy.
Would I have enough?
Thank you for your time and help.
EDIT: Also, if you have suggestions for another card, let me know, as well.
