Im using a laptop with an SSD and 1TB HDD and im trying to use HDAT2 from Hirens Boot CD but it does not detect and HDD's, in the Bios I have "Legacy" enabled instead of UEFI or UEFI with CSM as anything other than Legacy will not boot the CD, I have AHCI for Sata Mode, when I run Hirens boot cd and try to run HDAT2 I get this message "Warning: the high memory area (HMA) is not available. Additional low memory (below 640k) will be used instead. Creating 64Mb Ram drive as R:" but it just pauses for a while then says "bad command or file name, Syntax error" so I reboot and go to "dos - dos settings" and use option 2 "dos (with HimemX, try this if ram drive fails)" I now can run HDAT2 but it does not detect and of my hard drives, if I use the "P Params" option in HDAT2 and change Device Access to "Ext. INT13h" and change "Decimal or binary size" from 1000 to 1024 it still cant detect my HDD's. the laptop is a MSI GP62 6QF Leopard Pro and I cant remove the HDD's to test on another system as it will void my warranty because it was made that you have to remove the whole bottom cover to get to the HDD's not like a standard laptop.
