HDD 100% when loading games

Hello everyone,

Since recently, I'm having trouble loading games (LoL, OW). So I checked the task manager and found this.

I'm guessing that's not normal. Is my HDD getting old ?

EDIT : chkdsk went well. Testing the hdd read/write speed also went well.

Yeah I've checked this post already. I'm starting to think about going back to an old W7.

It would be nice if you can post a screenshot of the SMART report.
Another thing you can do is to use different cables.

Do you experience this 100% disk usage all the time, or just when loading games?

Here are the smart results. Seems quite good to me although I can't understand the details.

The disk isn't always at 100% but it is when i try to load games. Loading the game takes ages. I can see from the task manager that the hdd is reading with a 100Mo/s speed.

Yeah, the SMART data looks good. There are no bad sectors on the drive.
Could you attach the drive with different SATA and power cables. If I understand correctly, the raw value of the spin up time indicator is kind of high.

What is your OS? High disk usage could be caused by OS background processes. Yet, you've mentioned that all of this started recently.

Recently because I've upgraded on w10 since recently. Unfortunately I can't change the cables, cause we're talking about a laptop here.

I've done some things suggested about background processes such as turning off windows search and superfetch. Didn't change a thing.
