I have a 6 year old 320 gb primary hdd to which i have installed my windows os.
Now i'm considering to buy a seagate1tb SATA hard disk and use it as my secondary HDD to install my games.
the old HDD has low rpm and the new HDD will have 7200 rpm . Although i dont intend to install my games on my old 320 gb HDD. does the old HDD reduce my gaming performance??(Please note that i wont be using my old HDD to install and play my games).

What if my install my OS on the old HDD and install my games on the new one??

If you do so then the booting time of your windows and loading softwares or games will be slow and you will end up having a slow PC. I recommend you to install your OS and games in your 1TB HDD 7200 rpm and keep your documents, files, images, videos, etc. In your old HDD and also in new HDD.
