[SOLVED] HDD as primary drive but SSD as boot?

Hello everyone, I’m building a budget rig, and was planning on buying a 500gb ssd and a 2tb hard drive. The reason isn’t because I want a few (3-6) games on my ssd and everything else on the hard drive, but I also wanted room for downloading images and stuff off the internet. Whenever I download from the internet it always goes to my primary/boot drive, so I don’t want that kindof stuff taking up un-needed space on my ssd. Is there a way to make it so that my ssd will just be the boot drive and the HDD the drive where everything is automatically saved? If that’s possible I’ll just get a 250gb ssd instead
Thanks!
I hope everything made sense.

You're overthinking this a bit.
You don't even have to 'move' the downloads folder.
Simply change the default in your browser.

Steam games, you can have them live on the HDD. Even have that the default if you wish.

Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

To move an already installed game
Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder

Oh thanks!
I know you said I don’t even have to move the folder, but what would moving the download folder to the HDD do?
