HDD being loud

Hi

So, a little more than a year ago i bought all the parts to build my PC. I built it, it worked, everything was fine. The problem was the HDD however. It works perfectly fine. The only problem is that occasionally it makes a noise louder than it normaly does. It's not the sound that it would be making when dying, it's more like louder spinning. When I knock on my PC case, the sound stops until it starts again after a few seconds. The problem started a few months after the purchase.

"Knocking on your PC case" is not an acceptable method of solving a problem (or even investigating one).
Instead, try running some drive diagnostics from the manufacturer and proceed from there.

Sounds like the drive (or something) is simply loose. Check all the mount screws or however it is mounted in the case.
