HDD boot problem

I have a secondary hdd that detects in bios, but if the drive is plugged in windows doesn't boot. If tried plugging it in to a different sata port on my motherboard,

PC Specs
Motherboard: MSI Gaurd Pro
CPU: Intel Core I7 4770k
Ram: 16 GB DDr3
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 980Ti lightning Edition
Main 1TB SSD
Faulty drive:Seagate Barracuda 2TB

set the boot priority in BIOS to your windows boot manager/ boot partition drive, where you installed windows to (the SSD)

have you tested the drive with the diagnostic software of the manufacturer or any other software?
