HDD Buzzing when tilted

My HDD buzzes when I move the laptop. Its a brand new Hitachi 7200rpm 1TB. Definately HDD as only does it when using that HDD and not the OS SSD. Is this usual or sign of early failure?

All my other laptops have 5200rpm HDDs and dont make the noise.

Could it be the laptop fan or CPU fan you are actually hearing? Sounds like a bearing noise.

Hi there gobhoblin,

I would advise you to back up the important data that is stored on the drive until you sort this issue out.
Apart from that, you can just test the drive with a brand specific testing tool(or a third party one). If the drive is failing, then the test results will most probably show it.
