Question HDD cannot be detected by bio.

I recently bought a new seagate 1TB HDD to install on my pc, which already has a 240GB SSD. However, when I connect the HDD, the PC is stuck on the boot menu and I cannot find the HDD in the boot options, and in the BIOs the SATA port the HDD is connected to says "not installed". I have tried using different SATA cables, SATA ports and power cables that all worked for the SSD, but the HDD is still unable to be detected. Could this be a faulty HDD?
