Hello everyone. In the last few days I began to notice clicks from the PC case. I started listening to everything and it seems that the clicks are coming from the HDD. The PC is working as usual, but the clicks scare me (HDD: Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM 64MB P300 SATA III). I bought it new in 2021.

Judging by the tests of the hard drive, everything is fine, green signs are lit everywhere, there are no strong delays, and the PC itself is working as usual
Also, the system has an SSD M.2, and after an hour the HDD goes into sleep mode (if I do not use programs from the HDD), at this time there are no clicks. What should I do?

Sound recording on Google Drive, duration 1 minute and there I recorded 3 clicks, I ask you to turn up the volume: Sound

I think I figured it out. It seems that I have a "parking" since the main business is on the ssd m2, I put the download to the hard drive for the test and the clicks disappeared. I hope it will be so. Thank you all for your advice.
A HDD being a mechanical device will make sounds as the actuator moves around.

Considering the current low cost of 1 and 2tb ssd devices, consider replacing the HDD for performance reasons.

And... as above make a plan for EXTERNAL backup is there is anything the HDD that you would not care to lose.
