My specs;
Intel i5 4440 3.2ghz
8GB DDR3 corsair ram
AMD radeon 270x 2GB
Gigabyte GA-H81M-H Micro atx
Corsair VS650 PS

I don't want to go straight to blaming windows 10 but things started happening a week or so after I installed it. I had Window 8.1 previously, my HDD started to play up by this I mean everytime I tried to access anything on my drive I had a 60% chance of it actually working, the rest of the time it would crash. After defragging it seemed to subside but then these last two days I'm unable to get past the bios screen. It goes straight to a black screen saying hdd critical error press crt+alt+del to restart. Doing this just puts into a loop. I'm very unsure what the next step is or if there's anything I could do to save my HDD.

Kind regards,
Vid.

Hey there, Vidvorun.

I'd suggest that you try the drive with a different computer, to see if it's recognized and if it is - backup your data. After that, go ahead and download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool, to try and test the drive with it, to see if any errors or bad sectors pop-up. Without testing the drive it would be difficult to say if this is an OS related issue or a hardware one, so please let me know how everything goes and we'll figure out how to proceed with the troubleshooting.

Hope that helps.
