HDD dead? Need new computer

Mar 6, 2009
The hdd from my old computer that is 5 years old has finally died. Everytime I try to start the computer the hdd makes a kind of clicking sound. I've searched this and it usually means that the hdd is dead, so I'm hopefully correct. Now I've been looking for a new system. Something no more than $700, two systems caught my eye. First: HP pavilion p6520f, Amd anthlon 2 635 quad core at 2.9ghz, 6gb ram, 1tb hdd, and other bells and whistles all for $529. The system seems a little bit too good for that price. http://www.staples.com/StaplesProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&productId=336229&catalogIdentifier=2&cmArea=FEATURED:SC3:CG71:DP4119
Second choose: Asus essentio, intel core i5 at 3.2ghz, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd, and other few nice features, all for $679. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Essentio+Desktop+with+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor/9699025.p?id=1218152464094&skuId=9699025

I will be putting a nvidia 9600gt video card in the system that I purchase. I will be using the systems for just light gaming mostly.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
