HDD Disk Controller

Hello,

When I try to install a fresh copy of windows, the setup is prompting cannot be installed in the drive. Enable disk controller in Bios. How do I do that? Please help.

Is this a usb or disk installation? What Windows? oem windows 7 4 bit? New? Legal?

if it an amd bases system you may have to do a custom f6 driver install and have the newest amd inf drivers on a disk.

Toshiba 250 GB HDD Sata
Antec VP450P

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Retail.. Trying to install on 250GB HDD. Before this, the windows installation went through smooth on a Seagate 1TB HDD.

Maybe the Toshiba drive is faulty. Check it in another PC with Diskcheck.

Strange enough, I unattached an reattached the sata, this time it gave me the option to install windows and also partition.

Closing this one as well. A couple of hours does not magically transform your bootleg copy of Windows into legit.
