Hi all,

Just finished a new build yesterday and my second drive (WD 4TB HDD) doesn't seem to be working.

I have an MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard. I've tried different SATA ports, different cables, resetting CMOS, etc. It isn't detected in BIOS, but it is showing in my device manager. I can hear it spinning up when I start my computer. I get "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error" message when I try to initialize it in Disk Management. I can't seem to tell if the SATA ports are disabled in bios, but it doesn't seem like it. I tried installing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver but that only created more problems.

Before I try to return it and get a new one, I was wondering if anybody had any insights for another possible fix?

Thanks!
