Hi there, i have an problem with an old HDD Sata1, and has far i can tell it seens working fine, i can even install with no problems an OS, however, if i try to format, it goes up to 19% of the process, and bloks there, and how that is my question is, why can't i format completedy my HDD?

if you have another PC / Operating System boot into it (Already have the other HDD connected) and open Command Prompt and type DISKPART

You may want to google to learn all commands.

BE WARNED you can delete whole partitions.

Maybe you can override / force the deletion of partitions of that hard drive and create a new one and format.
