Hi, my HDD is failing as per this image:

Idk how long it'll last me. I am scared I will lose my data :(

On my motherboard model (MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon ac) there are 2 m.2 slots. M2_1 and M2_2.

Can I use both the m.2 slots simultaneously?

On my first m.2 slot, there is already 1 m.2 NVME SSD.

Is there any situation where an m.2 SSD slot will accept an nvme speed ssd but not a SATA speed SSD or vice versa? Do I need to worry about that?

always do backup

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC/Specification
AMD® B450 Chipset
1 x M.2 slot (M2_2, Key M)1
AMD® CPU
Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 (1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™/ Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics) or PCIe 3.0 x2 (Athlon™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics) and SATA 6Gb/s 2242/ 2260 /2280/ 22110 storage devices

M2_1 supports bot NVMe and Sata drives but you loose SATA ports 5 & 6 when M2_1 is populated ( this is the M.2 right under the CPU )

M2-2 only supports NVMe and will loose it if anything is plugged into PCI-e slots 2, 3, 4, 5. so basically you can only have a video card installed in PCI-e slot 1 if you want to use the M2_2 port.

In short you can use both M.2 slots if you only have a graphics card installed and up to 4 SATA harddrives plugged in.
