HDD from DVR[SWANN-DVR8-4200 8 Channel 960H]

How would I be able to retrieve data?, I already have tried to connect to my windows PC but it shows some blank drive in Disk Managment but it would not show up on my computer. Any chances this would work on Linux and what is the format of the HDD?

most DVR HDD are in EXT file format so running linux is a good idea to see if the data is there. (oh btw this also could work http://www.paragon-software.com/home/extfs-windows-pro/ )
