HDD got high temp when plays game.

Why my hdd got high temp when playing any game. I had changes a new mobo and proc last monday.Should I format my hdd?
My spec
Intel i5-4590
Asus H81-Gamer
Asus R9-270 Direct CUII
2× 4GB Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600mhz
Antec VP450
WD Caviar Blue 500GB

That is hot believe or not. That is actually not acceptable. Re-formatting your HDD could help. Sounds like it is starting to die. If it possible and you wont lose data. I would try a format. Then go from there. If it keeps acting like that. You are most likely due for a new drive. Also you may want to try somehow to get better airflow to it. Maybe bigger fan, moving the drive if you can.
Try to keep your HDD between 35c and 45c. At 55 you are at or getting close to the mas temperature for that device.

it is in process of saying good bye to you forever, as (dark_strike) suggested try a format, there is a 50 percent chance it may help that too only in extending the life of the HDD for a little while, i had a toshiba 500GB HDD on a 7200RPM with the same issue, died within 2 months ..... try to place a fan next to it and constantly monitor the changes in temperates ... above 50 itself is not normal, closing in on 60 is way too much for a HDD of that capacity ...
