I have a 4tb Seagate Barracuda drive (was showing up in my PC as Drive 0) which is only a couple of days old, it initialised and was set up fine with games and other software installed on it with no issues until this afternoon when I went to install some steam games on it. Steam was originally showing there was a "disk write error" so I went about all the troubleshooting for that.

The games I had on there already would still launch but I was getting the "a device which does not exist was specified" error when trying to change some settings, so I tried restarting my PC. When I logged back into Windows the drive had completely disappeared from absolutely everywhere you could go to see what is connected to your PC.

Anyone know what could've happened?

That's a very good question. You've checked both ends of both cables that connect to the HDD? If it still doesn't work, try a different SATA cable and/or port on your motherboard and maybe a different SATA power connector as well. If it doesn't show up in the BIOS afterward, it might be a defect. If it doesn't work after that, contact your retailer.
