Question Hdd head not working properly

Hi i have a 500gb toshiba hdd (2.5) that suddenly stopped working after the pc started overheating, whenever i start my laptop it get stuck on hp logo then it says no boot device found while the hard drive make some weird clicking noises, i tried the diy fix as i thought that the head was stuck on the platter but it was at it's initial place.

Could someone suggest a possible fix? I only want to retrieve the data, I am not expecting the HDD to work for long.

And virtually all data recovery labs will make you pay extra because you opened the disk.
