Hdd help please

I have a partioned hdd...was disk c &e... c for opsystem and e for data..after installing new op system the other partion has become unallocated is there any way of fixing this

Did you accidentally deleted the E partition when you were trying to install to the C partition?

Dont think so....but is there a way of getting the data back from an unallocted space ...dont want to touch it untill ive tried to get the pics back

You can try some data recovery software, but I wouldn't be too optimistic about it.

Yes, sorry. You didn't mention that you had data you wanted to recover. I also hope this brings to your attention the importance of doing backups.

Yes! In order to get back your data, you could run some data recovery software to re-access your data and then restore the unallocated space by creating a new partition. (There are many data recovery tools available online. You should pay much attention to this thing.)
After experiencing this trouble, you also are supposed to back up all your important data regularly.
