hdd install ?

what would happen if i would install a hdd wrong

i installed one and it came with a cable that goes to the hdd and then to the motherboard and one cable from the PSU and to the hdd

and i want to install another one but the cable thats suposed to go to the motherboard comes from the PSU and it fits just right and it clips

There should be no SATA cable that comes from the power supply that will fit your SATA ports on the motherboard or on the drive. There is a SATA POWER cable that goes to the drive, and then a data cable that goes from the drive to the motherboard. The power one is about twice as wide.

i dont know it fit and it works , and yes 1 is twice as large
