Background:
So yesterday I tried to make a virtual machine using VirtualBox, and I had to enable in BIOS hardware virtualization, after I enabled it I started to experience the issue. once I tried to open a virtual machine the program was slow and it got stuck all the time, I just thought that I didn't give it enough storage. I couldn't exit or use the program and because it was stuck so I restarted my computer and that's when I noticed that everything was really slow so I decided to uninstall VirtualBox and disable hardware virtualization and went to sleep with my computer on.
problem:
When I woke up the following morning my disk D: was gone and after a restart that took ages disk D: came back and I noticed that task manager showed that whenever I open anything related to disk D: the disk D: active time would jump to 100% active time, 0ms response time and 0 read/write speed. so I tried some tests I saw online:

My HDD did pass the extended test
my disk D: only has this issue when I open anything on it for about 2-3 minutes (depending on what I open) then it works fine, for example, I can move files at a normal speed but only after a wait a certain amount of time.
If any more information is needed I will add it.
