Interface CRC errors - this could be because of bad sata cable or overheating of HDD or sata controller.

While i was changeing the cable to this drive i discovered that this was a very old UDMA drive with jumpers limiting it to use just half speed. This drive was just attached to move old stuff around and then i was thinking of throw it away. BUT a seperation came in between. :) I just forgot about this small 500 GB drive.

I've now removed the jumper, and tomorrow i will buy a 1GB to replace this one. Let's take it from there.

I am so a shame! :)

I looked at the manual to check that everything was connected as it should.
Discovered that i had put my boot disc in a wrong port.
I have 2 ports for SATA that as i understand are supposed to be used for the boot disc.
And i can imagine that the raid error thingy was due to this...

The computer starts 2-3 times faster than before so i guess i have found the problem.
