Question HDD is at 100% freezing my PC.

Hi!

One of my 3 HDD is behaving strange since i updated my Win 10 a couple of versions back.

Have tried guides to remove this but i fail. So now i'm asking you and posting a log from my PC.

Can someone see what this meens?

What power setting are you using in windows? And in your bios settings are you using power management?

In windows i use high performance and in BIOS i think i'm not using it because i don't like it.

Wich one of the test do you want to see? Or just the tab health?

Interface CRC errors - this could be because of bad sata cable or overheating of HDD or sata controller.

i would download a tool like crystal disk info to check the drives health. is this drive you boot from?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs.

Are you using a RAID configuration? I see "RaidPort 2" in the log.

Interface CRC errors - this could be because of bad sata cable or overheating of HDD or sata controller.

While i was changeing the cable to this drive i discovered that this was a very old UDMA drive with jumpers limiting it to use just half speed. This drive was just attached to move old stuff around and then i was thinking of throw it away. BUT a seperation came in between. I just forgot about this small 500 GB drive.

I've now removed the jumper, and tomorrow i will buy a 1GB to replace this one. Let's take it from there.

No my boot drive is a new SSD Samsung 860 EVO 250GB. See my answer to the guy above this answer.

No i do not and now i'm thinking i've done something wrong when i attached all my drives. I will investigate this tomorrow. I will be back with the result.

I am so a shame!

I looked at the manual to check that everything was connected as it should.
Discovered that i had put my boot disc in a wrong port.
I have 2 ports for SATA that as i understand are supposed to be used for the boot disc.
And i can imagine that the raid error thingy was due to this...

The computer starts 2-3 times faster than before so i guess i have found the problem.
