HDD is not recognized by the BIOS

Hello guys,

I have a computer with 500 GB HDD. Last month, My HDD started giving "read error" at first and I tried whatever I could to fix that but nothing happened then I used live boot of ubuntu to try and fix the issue as in some posts it suggested that the issue might be the bad MBR table but the live boot was still no success.

Now the situation is that HDD won't show up anywhere not even in the live boot ubuntu.

Is there any way to fix my HDD now or should I buy a external case for hard drive to take back up. I really need to back up the hard drive.

You take a backup before the drive fails, not after. If it isn't detected in the BIOS it probably won't be detected in an external case. Why didn't you replace the failing drive? They are inexpensive.
