Question Hdd issues

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help. I currents have a seagate 1TB external hard drive. It hasn’t been used for some time and appears to have developed a fault. The disc powers on and the disc itself starts to spin but after approximately 10 seconds just stops. It appears to be attempting to boot up but doesn’t. Could anyone offer any advice I have a video of it but can’t post it.

Yes, that's a symptom of an internal fault (heads/media).
