This question was ignored simply because the way the new Forum design is, the mobile version is annoying to navigate and you get to deal with big ads, the desktop version has unanswered questions less obvious and the forum now is completely separate from the main site. :( You get far less browsing now because you have to make the extra effort to find it.

I would lose a Fan and apply a Stacking bracket but I would move the bracket further down closer to the end of that PSU cover.

Here is an example of a usable bracket, this one is on the fancy side but there are many other options...

Your case has only 2 mounts for a 3.5" drive.

  1. Replace one of the 3.5" drives with a 2.5" something.
  2. "important daily stuff I work on " absolutely needs a good backup routine. No matter what drive it is on, or how that drive is attached to the case.

No screws holes that far? No problem Double-sided tape will hold it down and provide a bit of anti-shock..

or a bit ugly but doesn't require you to stick the hard drive itself to the Cover, also impairs air flow.

Thank you for the links @delaro ...I have a pair of these 3.5 to 5.25 mounting kit that were used on my old case.

https://www.amazon.in/Segolike-Mounting-Adapter-Bracket-Holder/dp/B074QNJTFG

Currently used one of them to mount the hdd as shown in op ... i'm thinking about taking drive out and placing it horizontal by sticking a double sided tape to the cover as I have inked on this image. Will that be ok ?

the other option is going to be getting a new 2.5 drive as mentioned by @USAFRet

just trying to explore all possible options as ssd's are costly in my country.. thank you :) ..
