Question HDD not detected ?

Good day guys. Would like to ask for help regarding my 2.5 HDD.
For context, I purchased an Enclosure for 2.5 HDD so that I can use my laptop's old HDD like a external HDD. I attached it but BIOS can't detect it, but in Windows I can see it in the Device manager and USB icon at the bottom right but no device in the Windows Explorer.

Tried to format it with diskpart, but encountered error "Incorrect Function".

Disk Management labeled the HDD as "Not Initialized" and gives me an option to Initialize it as either MBR or GPT. But, still "Incorrect Function".

Was the HDD in working order just before you pulled it out from the laptop?

Judging from this. Either external enclosure faulty or disk dead.

it was not used for a year atleast. but before that, it was working normal.

I pray that the device itself is not already on it's lifetime rest. I'll try to look for other 2.5 HDD to confirm whether the enclosure is the problem or not.
