Hdd not in disk managment

So i got a new hdd but when i go to my disk management its not there so i went and checked in devices and printers its there and i dont know what to do anymore i even checked even in storages spaces to its there too working fine but not in disk managment.

Hi there Edici,

One thing you can start with is to attach the drive with different cables(both SATA and power ones) to a different SATA port.
In case the issue persist, you can go to your MOBO's website and update all the drivers.

If this doesn't sort the issue out, you can boot up Ubuntu from a CD or flash drive, partition and format the drive, switch back to Win and see if the drive is recognized: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode

For windows to see the new hard drive connected to it.
It must be formatted.
And the HD must be online enabled.

Go to disk management again.
And from the options at the top of the window click on action, then Rescan Disks.

If you scroll down the new drive should be listed stating its capacity.
In the main window right click on the new listed drive and format it.

No that didnt work. What do you mean by online enabled how would i do that?
