[SOLVED] HDD not power up

My HDD not power up
but i feel heat on the HDD board when i connect it to the sata power cable
I checked the board there is no smell of burning
That problem happened immediately when i connected an External SATA power cable to HDD it's not the cable of my PSU it's a cable from another PSU
So what's the problem ???? please help

You funny - that is way above the average consumer knowledge level

Here is some relevant questions in order to be able to provide any help:

• Full name and model of the hdd ?
• How old are the drive and how much used (i.e. year of purchase) ?
• Have it worked before? If yes, how long since it was working?
• Do you use it as an external drive?
• If yes (1) - have you ever moved the disk around while powered on (spoiler alert : that tend to kill hdd's) ?
• If yes or no : Describe exactly how the hdd is connected, what equipment (storage controller and where it gets power from).

Firefox is misinformed. The warnings are unjustified.

The HDD Oracle hosts software which accesses HDDs at a low level. This triggers false positives in some malware scanners. HDD Guru was also "nastygrammed" by FF recently. Even a harmless JPEG triggered this false warning. The only odd thing I could see in that JPEG was lots of zeros. Virustotal said it was harmless.

Even my harmless personal web space triggers two of the AV scanners:

Name : Western digital green 500 GB
It's 2 years old , it was working very good , the problem happen when i connected it to sata cable not from the original PSU after that the problem happen ,, i don't move it but i connect the power cable to it while the PC was working

Poof....
PSU cables are NOT universal and interchangeable.
You've burnt out a component on the drive circuit board.

AND doing that with the PC actually running? Not good.
