Question hdd not recognising

I have set up an old pc as a media server with linux server and everything works great, I have a WD 18 tb sata hdd from a my book external enclosure but the bios will not recognise it when attached as sata.
The motherboard is an ASUS P6X58D-E

I have found out why, its the 3rd pin on the power connector needs to be masked off.

Be aware that My Books are encrypted, so your OS may not recognise any partitions when you install the drive inside your computer.

It's fine everything worked as soon as i masked the 3rd pin off.
