Hello,
I just bought a used HDD (Seagate BarraCuda 1TB) but it doesn't work on my PC. At first I thought I was scammed and it was dead but the HDD works perfectly fine in another PC. I can also feel the HDD vibrating when I start the PC so it seems fine.
I tried updating drivers, changing SATA/power cables etc. but nothing works.

My Motherboard is an Asus Z370-F Gaming, I tried connecting the SATA cables in slot 5 or 6 because 1-4 are already used. In the BIOS the ports are shown as empty.
Not sure if that is relevant but my CPU is an i7 8086k, PSU is a be quiet! Straight Power 10 600W 80+ Gold.

Thanks

Okay, I found the issue. Thanks Impu7se and everyone who might've researched but didn't find anything for your efforts.

The issue was that because I have an NVMe drive using PCIe 4x, SATA ports 5 & 6 were disabled. Thankfully I still had a PCIe to M.2 adapter laying around so everything works now.
