I'm helping a friend transfer his hard drive from his old laptop to a new one atm. The dude who had the new laptop before him had two SATA II HDDs in a IDE setup (500GB master 120GB slave). My friend is trying to install a single 500 GB Seagate SATA II HDD in the master slot. Unfortunately, when we plug it in, BIOS does not pick it up in boot priority. Any help is appreciated.

Most probably, ATM use ATA lock feature (user/master passwords) for all drives in it.
If you have access to the old drive from ATM, researching him , you'll find out fast what is going on.

Yes, you are right, those 3 capital letters confused me, ATM machines also use Hard disk drives.
