Question HDD Not Show in boot menu also can't boot

I have installed new 8GB ram in my 6 months old asus vivobook , after installing the new ram there is no HDD on boot menu . i try to format the laptop with windows 10 DVD also with bootable pendrive , after 1st installation process completed when system restart again its starting windows instillation first slide.

Maybe you did a mistake and pulled a cable when your upgraded the RAM. How old is this drive? Can you hear the drive spinning? You have to understand that HDDs are fragile (especially laptop drives) and it's easy to damage them if you aren't too careful.

  1. Re-open the laptop and try to unplug and then re-plug the HDD power and data cables.
  2. Try to remove the drive from the laptop and use an external SATA to USB adapter in order to access it from another system.
If the drive still doesn't work I'm afraid that it's dead and you have to get a new one. The fact that the drive may have died during the RAM upgrade is either a sick coincidence or you did a mistake when you tried to install the new RAM.
