Dear Sir

I have tried your all solution, it is still not working. It say that "the types of the files is RAW" and CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives. (after login in to administrator account ,opened Command Prompt, and performed chkdsk <your external HDD letter:> /f (press Enter) ). I have important files in side. worth 350 BG. Please help me.
Thank you

Hey Klimbs. It sounds like you've posted a new thread instead of answering to a previous one. From what I gather you have a drive with a RAW partition and that you've tried the chkdsk command. I'd recommend that you try accessing it via Linux Live USB/CD to see if it's recognized properly and if you can get to your data this way. If this doesn't work, then I'd suggest that you try some of the data recovery solutions from this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html

If you manage to recover your files, you should download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool (if the manufacturer doesn't offer such a tool, you can use a 3rd party one) and test the drive with it to see if there are any errors or bad sectors.

Hope that helps.
