I have an Intel D845FVFN motherboard with a FN84510A.86A.0023.P07 Bios Version.

I have an ST340015A 40GB HDD with working Windows XP OS installed.

I also have a Samsung SP0401N 40GB HDD with a corrupt Windows XP OS in it

Now what I would want to do is I would like to make use of both HDDs so I could have more hard disk space for my files and programs.

But when I use both HDDs all at once, only one HDD is detected by my MoBo and that is the one with the working OS in it.

I have tried turning on the system and using the HDDs one by one and both are detected by my MoBo.

How can I make use of the Samsung HDD? I plan to format the hardware but I can't since it can't be detected when I use it with the ST340015A HDD.

Please do help me. Thanks in advance :)

Sir can you please tell me how to set one master hard drive? I do not know how to do such.

next to the power connector are eight Pins (two rows of 4 Pins).

Placing a Jumper over the the left most Pins will make it Master, and removing the Jumper all together will make it Slave.

One drive need to be configured as Master and the other as Slave.

Will try it out sir. thanks a lot :)
