Hdd or ssd

I am building a system soon and I'm wondering if I should go with a 480gb ssd (Sandisk) or a 240gb ssd and a 1tb hdd, I'm not sure how much space I'll use but I want to keep the system for a while, like 2-4 years

Absolutely go with an SSD for the operating system, I myself prefer an SSD and HDD. If you are just using the system for gaming then a 480GB SSD will do. If you will be storing photos, scans, etc. get the HDD.

People usually use SSDs as main storage when they have big budgets. But most people use HDD as main and SSD as secondary storage for the OS and a few games. 480 GB alone won't be enough especially since you want it to run 2-4 years. So I highly recommend the 1 TB HDD + 240 GB SSD.
