Hello everyone,
I will get straight into it, i had this WD blue 1TB HDD like three years ago and it worked very well without any problems till the last week. DAY1 my pc started to get slow and even slower, freezing then i decided to restart it *though it was a software/OS issue* it took sometime to boot not like usual but at last it did and then worked very normally all the day.

DAY2 i wake up and turned my pc on it was so slow to take me to WIn10/MS logo and it kept loading for ages then a blue screen come out of an error, i believe it was UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME or something like that then restarts by itself and takes me to automatic repair loading then a black screen!

I decided to install a new windows on the HDD but after the "loading windows files" bar the windows 7 logo comes out and then nothing! it won't take me to the installation. I've tried to put an old working HDD and i found out it won't boot too if my broken HDD was connected at the same time so i connected it after booting with the old hdd but nothing shows up.

Please help me, i have a really important information could it be restored somehow or my hdd is fully dead and could not be recovred?

Thank you

PS: I CAN STILL SEE MY BROKEN HDD IN THE BIOS/BOOT OPTIONS

Hey there, HeroTK.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with your drive. 🙁
I'd recommend that you try connecting the HDD to a different computer, to see if you'd be able to boot to Windows and find out if it's properly recognized so that you can get to your data. On the other hand, if you don't have that option, since you can't boot to Windows properly with the drive connected, if the motherboard supports hot swap (note that even if it supports hot swap, the SATA mode should be set to AHCI or RAID in order for this to work), you can try connecting it once you've already booted to Windows. If that doesn't work or the mobo doesn't support hot swap, you could try connecting it externally, via a USB to SATA adapter, a docking...

If that doesn't work or the mobo doesn't support hot swap, you could try connecting it externally, via a USB to SATA adapter, a docking station, or an external enclosure. You could also try accessing the drive via Ubuntu Live USB, to see if it's properly recognized and if you can get to your files. Another option (if you've successfully booted to Windows or connected the drive externally) would be to try out data recovery software: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html and http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/tp/free-file-recovery-programs.htm.
And last, but not least, you could try out a professional solution, such as a data recovery company: WD Data Recovery Partners.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
