I just bought and built my computer. I installed all hardware, but didn't plug in sata connector to hdd. I installed Windows 7 onto my sdd. After installation of OS, I turned computer off and plugged hdd into sata connector spot. When I turned computer on and checked in BIOS, it recognized the hdd. Then when starting windows, checked for hdd, it wouldn't pull up in My Computer. I went into Device manager and saw that it shows my hdd, but I can't save/view in to the hdd. Any thoughts?

Solution
If it's a new disk, it may need to be initialised. You should be able to see it in Control Panel>Administative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management. Right click it and initialise it then you can partition it if necessary and allocate driver letters to the various partitions.
