Hello,
I was working on my computer when it suddenly restarted (system update) without asking me. After my computer rebooted, my external USB stopped working and it could not be detected. I looked in disk management but could not find my drive. I then took apart the enclosure and connected the drive to my computer using SATA. Now, the bios detects it. When I boot up windows, it gets stuck at the windows logo and my hdd starts clicking (it was not clicking in the bios). So I unplugged my hdd (problem one) , booted up windows and then plugged in my hdd. My hdd started clicking again, but I saw it in "my computer". I tried accessing the hdd, but it just froze and same thing happened with disk management, it wouldn't load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is there anyway I can replace the slider or will that not do anything?
