Hdd problems

Ok so this makes feel like a complete noob but I can't get my system to recognize my hdd, either my old one or the new one I just purchased

is the HDD SATA/SATAII/SATAIII - If so, make sure you are connecting them to the correct ports, and/or that your motherboard actually supports it.

Usig a msi p67a-gd65 motherboard and I've got about a 4y/o seagate barracuda 1t and a wd 1.5t I jus got yesterday, both are sata
