HDD question

Could someone explain the price difference on these 2 drives for me? One has less capacity and a lower cache but costs more. I'll probably end up getting the one with the bigger cache just because, but it would be nice to know why there's the difference. Are these drives both pretty good either way?

The 320 gb with a larger cache is a much better deal at $2 cheaper than the 250gb. Market prices have fluctuated at lot since the October flooding in Thailand, although I agree that the pricing between the two is not logical.

The 320 gb drive also comes in retail packaging, where the 250 is a bare drive, but they are basically the same other than size and cache.

Oh ok. I don't know much about drives so I thought there was some weird thing I was missing. And I guess that makes sense with the flooding. Cause I was looking at parts about 6 months ago and HDD's seemed a lot cheaper. so it's just basically a lucky bargain that that one is cheaper? Good to know. Is it a solid drive to get? I'm. Of up on what brands are good and which suck lol

Yes that is a good drive and reasonably priced as they go now, and the 320gb is definitely the better deal.

Alright sweet. I guess it's not worth trying to wait till the prices go down. $20 here and there isn't much on the price of the whole build
