[SOLVED] HDD recognized in ASUS bios but not in windows Disk Management.

My new mechanical drive is not recognized in disk management, even though it is showing up in bios. Can someone help me with this, I have been troubleshooting for over a day now.

Edit: The drive also shows up in device manager

System Specs:
Intel i9 10850k no OC
32 gb 3200 mhz lpx corsair
ASUS prime z490-a
MSI gaming z rtx 2070
MSI coreliquid 240 AIO
Cooler master 850 w gold

Storage Specs:
Crucial m.2 NVME 500gb (boot)
2tb Seagate barracuda 7200rpm (working)
another 2tb Seagate barracuda 7200rpm (not recognized)

Power down the system, disconnect from the wall and try connecting the known working HDD's SATA cable to the HDD that isn't being detected while the known working HDD is disconnected both power and data cable wise. See if that changes anything.

Also, what BIOS version are you on at the moment for your motherboard?
