Hello gentlemen, i have a question regarding the removal of my hdd. I am waiting on a new pc and i was wondering if i can just pop hdd out of my current computer and place it inside the new one. The drive contains my steam and origin libraries, as well as some other files. I am quite certain that there are no programs installed on the hdd, as i usually install them on the boot drive(ssd). So my question is, can i just take the drive out and move it without a risk? ( of course after removing cables and all). It seems fairly simple and i am afraid i might screw up.

Solution
So long as you dont set it as the boot drive, then there wont be any problem.
Since you already have experience with multiple drive systems, you know that youll have to point steam/origin to that HDD to refind the games.
