Question HDD running slow and strange device under optimize drive

What's up guys,
I'm not sure if it's just because my HDD is old but it performs extremely slow even compared to other hard drives so I went ahead and purchased an SSD to move all my stuff into but the HDD is still slow even just as a storage and there is this strange device under optimize.. Just wondering if this its time to get rid of this hard drive and why that //volume drive is showing up on my list because I don't believe it was there before I transferred my os and everything to the SSD.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does it have a letter ? It shouldn't have it. Can you post the picture of lower part of Disk management ?

Not sure what you mean by a letter but here's a screen shot of my disk management.. I have 3 drives 2 SSDS and one HDD.
