I downloaded CrystalDiskInfo and it showed up as Caution.
However wmic diskdrive get status shows OK for all drives.

Does that mean my HDD is or has gone bad and may die? Isn't there any way to recover it? My 2TB drive is divided into 2 paritions of 1TB each. I read somewhere that I could try to remove the partition and format it and check if it has recovered. Anyways, pls advise if the HDD can be repaired by myself through online tools or if this needs replacement immediately. Kindly help

Solution
If you have CRC errors and CrystalDiskInfo is showing YELLOW, you should purchase a replacement and copy your data off. Your existing disk might last years or just days. There is no way to predict.
