So i tried to put my old HDD (Seagate 250GB) into my PC to see what files i have there, but when i plug it in, my BIOS is seeing it (says ST3... Something something) but Windows won't boot up. Windows is installed on SSD. It stays on Windows logo and circle and that's it, not moving from there. Tried on two Windows installations and two PCs. Is there way to get this HDD working ?

A $25 USB-SATA dock is incredibly handy to have around for investigating old drives.

Not in the boot order, and you can power it up after the system is actually running on its normal drive.
