Hi
I had my system on an HDD (WDC WD10EZEX-22BN5A0 1TB) and the system and the programs/games were quite slow, and copying files from the HDD to an external HDD were slow (I know it's not a fast process to copy 20-50 GB files, but in the past they were a bit faster).
Reinstalled the system to an SSD (so it runs fast and okay), formated the HDD, now it has a few games on it. For example, I had and I have GTA on it. GTA started running slow, textures would load slow (if you go with a fast car sometimes the game would stop for a second to load the road and buildings. This never happened before).
Same goes for other programs, they are a bit slow loading, even though this wasn't the case a few weeks before.
I checked the HDD with HD Sentinel, but it says the disk is in good condition. Checked the speed with CrystalDiskMark, it was okay. Run Glary Utilities' check disk and other disk programs, it had no errors. But still, the HDD seems slow, or something seems to be wrong.
Or maybe something else, I don't know. I just know that loading is slow, copying is slow, everything is slow that happens on that disk.
It's 1 year old, still have guarantee, but if I go in, say that it's slow and stuff, but they see no problems with their programs, then what's the point going in?
SMART
CrystalDiskMark
(I don't know if these pictures load in)
When testing, it runs well, but when in use, it can slow down (although some programs/games run fine, maybe because they don't require as much power as others)
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
i5-4460 3.20GHz
GTX 960 4GB
2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
Any ideas?
Thanks
